Children Faith Formation

Summer 2023

Dear Families:

It’s hard to believe how fast the summer weeks fly by, and here we are again preparing for 2023-2024 year of Faith Formation.

This year we will begin classes on 9/24/23 the Sunday after Catechetical Sunday. The schedules will be mailed with your registration acknowledgment. Schedules and registration forms also are available online and will be at the at the rear of the churches.

There have been a couple changes to the religious education program this year:

1. Grade 6 will be moving from Sunday morning at St. Mary and Sacred Heart to the Wednesday evening program at St. Ann from 6-7pm. Middle school will attend together.
2. Classes for Grades 1-5 held at St. Mary on Sunday morning will move to St. Ann Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45am. This will give the teachers an individual classroom, more conducive to teaching and allow families the choice of attending Mass at 9am or 11am, (before or after classes).
3. Sacred Heart will continue with grades 1-5 on Sunday Morning 8:45-9:45 (before the 10am Mass) Grade 6 goes to St Ann on Wednesday nights as explained in #1.

First Penance and First Holy Communion – are two-year religious education preparation programs (grades 1 &2). Grade 2 information, dates about Communion, Penance and retreat will be discussed at the parent meeting on 10/29/23 in St. Ann Church at 1pm. 

The sacrament of Confirmation is a two-year preparation program (grades 9 & 10). ALL high school students, and those attending a Catholic high school, are required to participate in the Grades 9 & 10 parish religious education program. Classes meet on alternating Sundays at St. Ann church hall from 12:00-1:00pm. 

Grades 1-8 will continue with Gospel Weeklies, a wonderful way for the whole family to be involved in the religious education of their children. When your children bring home their weekly lesson, we encourage parents to review the lesson and see how it ties into the weekly readings and Gospel at Mass.

Faith Formation tuition for the 2023-2024 school year is:

$75 – for the first student     $125 – for two students in the same family

$150 – for three or more students in the same family

Tuition payments are due at the time of registration.
